This entry will focused on the ideas I've came out with for the final project.
This idea emphasized heavily on CO-OP SHARE SCREEN gameplay to create a close bond with among the players. The difference of controls creates the perks of each individual player. For example, Player 1 uses keyboard/mouse to move, run, and turn around while Player 2 uses Leap Motion to grab, interact and attack. This creates the diversity in function promotes a new sense of cooperation within themselves.
Brief Story:
Kevin, a secret facility scientist, and Subject #5, a legless humanoid with superpower, found themselves in a dire situation in the underground lab. The military are hunting down Subject #5 and Kevin, whose bound in handcuffs, must work with Subject #5 to escape from the military by escaping the lockdown of the secret facility. Subject #5 able to interact object from the distant, Jedi power-like, and Kevin able to carry Subject #5 around the facility.
Idea #2: "Time is Your Enemy" Cinematic Typography World Side-scroller Runner
In the second idea, I wanted to create a 2.5D*,refer visuals from "The Last Night", side-scroller and runner/parkour-ish kind of game which takes place in a abstract typographic world. I also wanted to create a sense of familiarity for my target audience whose they are college students. The gameplay consist of outrunning death(THE DEADLINE) and button mashing in order to outrun that while dodging typographical obstacles, such as "DISTRACTIONS", "ASSIGNMENTS". The objective is to reach the endpoint (SUBMIT COMPLETED WORK) while dodging distractions before the DEADLINE catches the player. If the DEADLINE catches the player, the player will lose all their progress to metaphorically emphasize on how risky to fail an academic task.
Idea #3: Vitamin D Tracker
This last idea, it is an app and a functional badge which they interlink together to track sun exposure of the wearer. The objective is to help gamers, office worker, and etc. to manage their time to be exposed under the sun to obtain sufficient Vitamin D while looking casual and comfortable. The app will track how much sun exposure is needed to get the ideal amount of Vitamin D and program it according to skin color as different skin color require different amount of sun exposure.
Idea #1: Combination of Leap Motion and Keyboard/Mouse Coop Video Game
