Entry 19 : Building The Crank - Main Box

This entry will be discussing about the building of the MO-3 crank (refer from MO-3 crank sketch) The first version of the crank was scrapped due to structure and rigidity issue. The first version was based on the limited resources which consist of leftover plywoods and mounting boards. After going through Lin Yew's meeting about the crank building, he told me to have the crank box rebuild. Lin Yew helped with cutting another thicker leftover plywood and build a much more rigid box compared with the first version. The existing input mechanisms are migrated to the new box and it still worked perfectly fine. Decorations are required so it will be visually similar to the initial sketch of MO-3 crank design.

The reason my targeted testers is that the testers are able to give valuable feedbacks, especially technical parts and the gameplay experience. Any updates will be in the documentation including feedbacks, prototypes, etc. will be documented in the project blog. The user testing will be prioritized from early alpha to beta tests which involving broadening the target testers for better feedbacks according to the project’s progression. EARLY ALPHA Early alpha test will be tested amongst classmates and lecturers. The purpose of this testing is to identify obvious flaws that might render the game unplayable or almost playable. Entry 14: Necessary Resources (19 August 2018)

Software Unity Engine -  The game will be running with Unity Engine as it is Leap Motion supported. Leap Motion Programme - This programme is required to run the Leap Motion controller Hardware Leap Motion controller - It will be used for interacting objects in the game. PC with sufficient performance - Since the game requires to run a 3D platform game and a Leap Motion controller, I reckon it’ll require some decent performance to run the game flawlessly. Projector - The design of the arcade machine is intended to be compact and small, thus the arcade machine will not have a physical screen instead a projector to be replaced as. Building materials - Ranging from plywood to nails, the arcade machine will require some fundamental material to build a sturdy structure that can withstand the weight of the projector and the controllers. Entry 13: Arcade Installation Design (6 July 2018)

This entry will focus onto the design of MO-3 and KEV-7's arcade installation. The aspect of the design, according to me, must have:- -platform for the controllers -storage for PC and projector -speaker box -have two themes for MO-3 and KEV-7 respective themes -exclude the screen Design references :- References based on the aspects stated above. Initial Design:  3/4 View of the MO-3 and KEV-7's arcade installation Each component of the arcade installation will have their own functions The 2 holes below the Controller Platform are intentional to be present to create a futuristic look and minimize resources. The Controller Platform is supported by the main body -the Storage (refer from "component")- Size prox. 1/2 the size of an adult for comfort usage.
